Yee Ler Lau leads Tencent’s public affairs and policy work across Asia-Pacific. He oversees the company’s engagements with governments and other partners on programmes and policy developments to promote the positive impact of technology on the economy and community.

Prior to Tencent, Yee Ler spent eight years with the Singapore Foreign Service and worked on cross-cutting issues including foreign policy, economic partnerships, and security. He also served as a diplomat at the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta.

Yee Ler holds a bachelor’s degree from Cambridge University and a master’s degree from the Geneva Graduate Institute.
