Dr Rafael Frankel is the Director of Southeast Asia Public Policy for Meta, having joined the Facebook Policy team in the Singapore APAC headquarters in 2018. Rafael is a leading expert in Asia-Pacific government affairs, public policy, political-economics, business and investment. A former foreign correspondent for the US media and a consultant based in Bangkok, Tel Aviv and Washington, Rafael received his Masters Degree (Foreign Affairs) and PhD (Political Science/International Relations) from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He has 23 years of journalism and policy experience spanning 50 countries and six continents.
