Bence Kertész is a Legal and Policy Officer of the European Commission, working at the Online Platforms Directorate of DG CONNECT in Brussels. His Directorate is responsible for enforcing the recently adopted Digital Services Act (DSA), and he is coordinating work related to content moderation, trusted flaggers and transparency. Before drafting and negotiating the EU’s new platform regulations, he was working on the DSM Copyright Directive. Earlier in his career, he worked for the BBC in London, for international law firms and in the film industry. He studied law and film production in Hungary.
