Ilana leads the APAC Safety & Integrity team for TikTok Trust & Safety. Her team focuses on solving regional and market-specific issues through holistic use of the full cross-section of Trust & Safety policies, tools and expertise. She also drives setting of regional roadmaps and priorities across the Trust & Safety verticals through a steering group of the APAC T&S leadership. At Twitter, she was the Head of International Trust & Safety leading teams in APAC and EMEA. She also oversaw T&S’s global program to respond to emerging content moderation and transparency regulation from earliest stages of advocacy to policymakers, through assessment of regulatory requirements, and ultimately, design and implementation of appropriate compliance strategies. She is a lawyer by training and practiced law before moving into law enforcement oversight and reform, and ultimately Trust & Safety. An American, she has lived in Singapore for the past 11 years.
