Azmina Dhrodia is the Safety Policy Lead at Bumble where she develops, maintains and socialises policies that govern safe, responsible and inclusive behaviour across the company's products. Since joining Bumble in October 2021, she has developed the company's Identity-based Hate Policy and Sexual Harassment Policy. Azmina is a leading expert on issues related to gender, technology and human rights and was named a ‘BBC 100 Women’ in 2021 for her work on improving online safety for women and marginalised communities. Prior to joining Bumble, she was a Senior Policy Manager at the World Wide Web Foundation where she worked with the world’s largest social media platforms, civil society organisations, government representatives and academia to co-create solutions to women’s safety online from an intersectional perspective. Prior to this, she was Head of Operations and Research at Block Party, an early-stage tech startup building solutions for greater user control, protection and safety online. Azmina spent 8 years working at Amnesty International where she was most recently a Research and Policy Advisor on Technology and Human Rights. During this time, she spearheaded the organization's research, policy and advocacy on violence and abuse against women on social media platforms with an intersectional lens.
