Adam Cowden is a Senior Policy Manager at Spotify, based in Dublin. Prior to joining Spotify, Adam worked on content policy at Meta from 2018–2022. While there, he worked across a broad swath of policy areas including hate speech, bullying & harassment, and fraud and helped lead policy development related to child safety, sexual exploitation, and human trafficking and exploitation. More recently, his work has focused on commercial policy and trust and safety risks posed by generative AI/LLM technologies. In his prior life, Adam studied urban planning and policy, worked with immigrant and refugee families in inner-city Chicago, and developed economics and social studies curriculum for a US-based educational technology company.
