Ollie Irwin leads the Google Safety Engineering Center (‘GSEC’). Located in our European headquarters, GSEC Dublin is a regional hub for Google experts working to tackle the spread of illegal and harmful content and a place where we can share this work with policymakers, researchers and regulators. Ollie's team spanning Dublin, London and Zurich are evolving how we discuss and develop solutions on topics like misinformation, child safety and AI responsibility. Ollie started in Google as part of its first global risk team focused on Trust & Safety and systemic risk online. Prior to this, he was the Privacy lead in PwC Ireland and advised on Governance, Risk and Compliance.
