About The Event

TSPA Regional Summits are one day conferences dedicated to trust and safety professionals who are responsible for the challenging work of keeping our platforms and communities safe. Unlike the global nature of TrustCon programming, summits are focused on regional priorities. Summits support TSPA’s vision to create and foster a global community of practice among trust and safety professionals by centering each region’s concerns, priorities, diversity, and culture.

APAC Summit Theme

The theme for this year's summit is, 'Glocalization of Trust & Safety.' This means proposals should blend local APAC insights with the broader global Trust & Safety landscape. Submissions might include panels featuring experts from different cultures and regions discussing the intricacies of the APAC Trust & Safety environment, roundtables on adapting global policies to local needs, or research presentations that highlight innovations and risks emerging from APAC. The goal is to foster a deeper understanding of how localized practices and perspectives can enhance the global Trust & Safety ecosystem. These examples are included as inspiration, but submitters are encouraged to be creative with the theme.

The Programme Committee will prioritise three main subcategories within this theme, so please propose sessions that fit one of these three themes. As with the summit theme, the examples listed after each subcategory are meant to provide guidance; you are welcome to submit proposals similar to these examples or on any other topic as long as it’s connected to the theme. See more about submission types here.

  • Cultural Context in APAC. Sessions in this category should delve into the diversity of languages, cultures, and social contexts across APAC influences trust and safety efforts.
